some of my black friends got in trouble not because white people were holding them back. they got in trouble because they were doing stupid sh*t.

blacks themselves have to want to change. you can't reform anyone that doesn't want to be reformed. as a conservative black that was once a democrat, i understand many of the problems. one, black media enforces the stereotypes within the black community. jet magazine, black enterprise, blackplanet online, ebony and black enterprise are all just mindless dribble that encourages racism towards anyone that is non black.

black radio talk shows do the same thing. they all imply that the "white man is still holding black people down, while at the same time glorifying black millionaire athletes and entertainers. how did i get out, by being an objective thinker, by being stubborn and hard-headed towards those that try to "sell" me on anything. at a very young age, i realized that if someone was trying to convince me of something...it was probably going to benefit them more than it would me. also, the things i heard and read in these black news outlets wasn't matching up to what was going on in my life.

i never had a group of white people holding me back. if anything they tried to help me whenever possible. of course, i had the occasional racist confront me with some b.s., but that's what i saw it as, an ignorant individual or two that were full of b.s.. as i said, the more i achieved personally through my efforts, the less i believed what i was hearing and reading from black media outlets. then i started questioning why they spent so much energy on this type of negativity when no one was doing the things they claimed to me or anyone i knew.

sure, growing up in the projects..i saw bad things happen to some of my friends, but those bad things were the result of my friends doing bad things. their consequences were the result of their own actions...not someone holding them back. the more i questioned the more apparent it became that those intrusted with informing us were misleading us for their own financial gain.

wall of patriots

These people are patriots because, in my opinion, they are game changers. Without them we wouldn't have stood a chance against those who plot against us.

a note to democrats...knock it off and cut the budget. we're not going to play this game.

the democrats continue to whine and spin a story of catastrophe if they have to learn to stop wasting our money and live within a budget as americans have had to learn to do after our so called "leaders" caused a world-wide recession in 2008. three years later, americans are still having to live with the disaster...they don't. the democrats are seriously out of touch. they don't realize that in the last three years, citizens have quickly had to learn about things that they were never concerned with before. we had to learn, not that there aren't those out here that didn't really want to learn, but had to...it's called survival.

having to survive is something that our "fat cat" politicians haven't had to experience. since they are so out of touch with "we the people", they continue to think that this is 2007 and that we're still uninformed...we're not. we may not know everything, but we're quickly putting the pieces together. one thing we do know is that those career politicians lie better than they tell the truth; we have the internet articles and youtube videos to prove it; showing them lie in their own words. they like to live by technology to get votes...so their political careers will now die by technology as we share these videos and articles on facebook and other social networking sites at the speed of light. let me add, their attempts to lie are pathetic. the democrats have been caught plotting to blame the tea party if there is a government shut down. who are they going to blame us to...ourselves?

do they not realize the depth and magnitude and sheer number of people that now comprise the tea party? blaming the tea party is like an employee complaining to his supervisor that the owner did something wrong...that employee will probably be looking for another job by the end of the pay cycle. likewise, these democrats who are trying to blame us for a government shut down will be looking for other jobs in 2012. we are not to blame for this, they are. democrats had control of the congress, senate and executive branch and did nothing towards passing a budget because they were busy scamming us with stimulus bills and obamacare.

we know where the stimulus money went. it went to labor unions and big business so that the democrats could get a good campaign contribution. we know what obamacare is about. it's not to help the poor, it's for the democrat politicians to gain more power and control over our lives. hell, they didn't even read the bill before passing it. plus, it had a bunch of new laws in there that will have dire intended and unintended consequences on citizens, state and local governments and businesses forever if we do not repeal it. so democrats, my advice to each of you is to start cutting. we sent conservative representatives to congress to do "the peoples" work and they are doing it.

you are not, and we won't forget it when it's your turn for re-election. we are not buying your b.s. and we are not listening to your spin. if you are having trouble cutting $61 billion on a $1.6 trillion budget, we're going to have some real problems when we get past this budget that you failed to pass and start working on next years; where our freshmen congressmen have been instructed to cut trillions. so you have a choice cooperate or start talking to your lobbiest buddies and looking for a job, because you will not be re-elected. just remember, we've also instructed them to go after the crooked lobbiest as well so that new job probably will be short-lived. cut the expenses, start at least acting like you have a conscience and hopefully the judge and jurist at your future corruption and racketeering trials will knock a few years off of your prison sentence...that's about the best we can offer you.

New Black Panther Party 2 of 5: Cult or Legacy?

part two "national geographics".

The New Black Panther Party PT.1

they hate whites, jews and homosexuals. they are pushing for revolution.

as long as this administration is in power, our soldiers are not fighting for freedom, they are fighting for new world order and communism.

it seems that the month of may will be a big month for progressive liberal, communist and labor unions. they're planning protests (that will probably turn into riots) all over the world. now that the 60's radicals and protesters like bill ayers and the like have lied and cheated their way into respectable positions of establishment, even having the ear of the president of the united states who can help them push their radical ideology and uncommon sense ideas from within. now that they are in power, does that make us anti-establishment?

after all, they are calling us the enemy, agitators and radicals. radicals...really? those who go to work, participate in tea party rallies if anything (always peaceful, follow the law (i haven't had a traffic ticket in over 10 years)...are radicals, and they are establishment. is this the twiglight zone? it must be because i oppose the wars being waged by our soldiers to help facilitate labor unions move to establish strong-holds in third world countries, so that these poor people can be lifted up then be exploited by the unions.

i oppose our soldiers risking their lives and dying to further the goals of the communist and progressive liberals, who are using them to push their liberal agenda globally. the progressives, communist and unions have seized control of our establishment to overthrow capitalism, morality and christianity to replace it with communism, chaos and atheism. the question is are we going to let them continue this path towards total and complete domination of all the world's governments including our own, or are we going to stop them. this will not be easy, this will not be comfortable and at times this may not even seem right, but would you rather live under communism and never know the truth nor have any control over your life and future ever again?

do you want freedom and choice or do you want control and no choices. choose while you still can.

tiny strokes, tiny earthquakes and dips in our economy are warning signs to get your life in order.

a stroke is often compared to an earthquake; lots of tremors and then...the big one hits and causes major devastation. no one knows when or where it will happen. this time the comparison is to our country. the tremors started in 2008 and no one really paid much attention. tremors can be deceptive. their negative energy erodes the ground from underneath while people just pass it off as normal or blame it on some other occurrence. this is what is happening with the small things that progressives, other hate organizations and pseudo religions and the obama administration have set in motion to start slowly shaking our foundation until it's time for the big one.

not even they know when the big one will strike, they just realize that if they continue to shake, tear, rip and pull that eventually everything will fall apart. in the end, after it does and our nation looks like a war zone from the riots and panic from both those who knew and tried to prepare, as well as those who were unsuspecting will in their hopes, run to them for answers. likewise with a stroke; how many people heed their doctor's warnings? instead people poo poo the idea that anything like that could ever possibly happen here...to them. the question is not why would any of this happen. the question is why would it not happen here.

as we've seen from around the globe...it's already happening around the globe. many think they're too smart, too rich and powerful or too sanctified and protected by god? my only advise is pay attention. pay attention to what's going on...pay attention to the warnings and then act.

5 so so reasons why you should join my blog.

take my unofficial poll on the economy, go back down memory lane and hear some of those great old school tunes, news and my commentary on just about anything that pops into my head that day, or something that's been eating at me and i get one of those eureka moments. where else can you get all of this...for free?

listening to hannity's grandstanding today had my blood boiling.

listening to sean hannity today had my blood boiling to the point where while i drove i had to decipher 800 whatever sean. cell phones don't have the alphabet below the numbers. once i deciphered it, i called and was referred to some other cute little phone number that i would have to decipher. i gave up before risking crashing into someone. so now that i'm home i can rant and rave here and get it out of my system. what was it that got me to that point?

sean was once again contradicting himself. first he pushed for us to go in and take qaddafi out and then he said why are we there. american soldiers's lives are at stake...does he not realize that he is a public figure and his words should not be spoken without giving careful consideration to what he was saying? what set me off even more was his conversation with the preacher that burned the koran. sean, kept asking the preacher to denounce what he had done because generals had asked him not to burn the koran and risk american troops. never mind that sean had called for attacking libya for no good reason that i've seen yet other than qaddafi is a brutal dictator. what about the other brutal dictators in the middle-east, china, africa etc? why qaddafi, why now? so, it was okay for him to risk american lives pushing for a war with libya, but not okay for the preacher to take a stand that may possibly risk american lives.

shouldn't we be taking a stand against these radical muslims that have seen the failed policies of our leaders for years now and are attacking us because they know they can get away with it? the answer in my opinion is yes, we do need to take a stand. if the government won't, people like this preacher should. muslims must feel that they can play games with us because our leaders are inept and corrupt; looking at oil and power over the real issues that affect our country. muslims don't realize that the american people are not weak...yet they continue to poke at our hornets nest, unwisely thinking; okay they'll bomb us for a few weeks-sure some of our people will die, but they will be martyrs. when it comes to bloodshed these american infidels are weak and can not stand to see the blood of one of their sons or daughters. they cannot stand to see their soldiers coming home in boxes. therefore, they continue as they have for far too long now.

i am glad to see this preacher take a stand. he has drawn a line in the sand and said...wait, now you are dealing with the american people. you burn our flags, our bibles and behead our people at will and now...we've had enough. keep it up and we will destroy you. the message was not bogged down in politics or rhetoric. it was a simple message that they can easily understand. our leaders should be the ones standing up to these fanatics instead of slapping them with one hand and accepting their money and oil with the other. they should be the ones saying we are not weak and we are not afraid of you. our leaders should be leading the charge and asking us if they should start drilling for oil, thereby breaking these financial, oil related ties that are around our necks and then they should tell them to stick their oil up their scrawny little asses and don't ask us for anything. if you want to torture, rape and murder your own people...so be it, but if we hear of you killing one more christian, pull out your rugs and start praying because we will hunt you down and kill a bunch of your people for every american, christian or jew that you kill.

only when our government understands how muslims feel through their hatred towards us and how americans feel about this unwarranted hatred will we see progress in our relationship with those who do not respect us. personally, i've always been of the mindset that it is better to be respected than liked. as for sean, i no longer like or respect his views.

The Church of Oprah Exposed

oprah winfrey also attended reverend wright's church. each day she influences millions of people in a most intimate place...in there homes.

Donald Trump On President George W. Bush

we're getting more bang for our bucks and a chance to poke too.

if all of the conservatives who are on facebook or any of the different blog sites were to hold a rally tomorrow so that they could meet in person...it would be nearly impossible to organize with out someone doing it from the top down. there would have to be a speaker or speakers; again top-down. we each have hundreds of friends that we chat with almost daily now...it would be impossible to say more than a few words to each of them. i think about christmas and how we mingle and it seems like just not enough time to spend with each relative before it's time for them to leave. so a rally with hundreds if not thousands of people that we'd like to talk to wouldn't get much accomplished.

with the advent of email..things got a little better. i guess the reason that i'm thinking about all of this is because i've read comments from both sides, but especially the left, knocking us in the facebook and blogosphere web-world as sitting on our butts and doing nothing. i have to disagree; several times a week and in my case daily, i meet with you and discuss the issues of the day, and we debate and plan constantly. we have made tremendous strides towards turning our country around in just a few short years because we have taken control of our destinies and are electing principled people to represent us...and then we are watching them to make sure that they don't stray.

so with the soul searching i've done to question if i and the rest of us are doing nothing...the answer is no. no, they are dead wrong in their wrong headed thinking. we are doing something. in the last two years, we've made more advances towards ending progressivism than we have in the last 100 years. by 2015, the place will be so far removed from liberal progressivism that there won't be enough of these progressive anti-everything good and right people left to complain about us putting them in the history books so our children then will know to stay away from their influences.

Queen - 'We Will Rock You'

i think queen must have seen into our future...well here we are.

the u.s.a. now has inflation and deflation at the same time. here's why.

here is an article explaining how you can have inflation and deflation at the same time.

May 14, 2008

In common usage, deflation is generally considered to be "falling prices" while Inflation is "rising prices". Actually this is "price inflation" as opposed to "monetary inflation". For more information see What is Deflation? and What is Inflation? and Inflation Cause and Effects.

So if inflation is rising prices and deflation is falling prices, how can prices rise and fall at the same time? Somehow that seems counter intuitive.

Obviously, when the Bureau of Labor Statistics comes up with the Consumer Price Index it is either higher or lower than the month before so we have inflation or deflation.

But that is the number for the whole economy, it includes over 10,000 items and takes into consideration all aspects of the economy.

However, every month some prices are rising while others are falling. So the inflation rate is a compilation of all of these factors. Currently, we have some major inflationary forces combined with some deflationary forces.

On the inflationary side we have rampant money creation, and dollar devaluation compared to other currencies. This is causing prices for food and energy to skyrocket.

On the deflationary side we have the sub-prime fiasco which is reducing liquidity for banks and causing housing prices to fall.

So there you have it, rising food and energy prices and falling housing prices... inflation and deflation at the same time.

Tim McMahon, Editor/inflationdata.com

a barrel of money for a loaf of bread ....not yet.

wikipedia defines hyperinflation as follows:

A vicious circle is created in which more and more inflation is created with each iteration of the ever increasing money printing cycle.

Hyperinflation becomes visible when there is an unchecked increase in the money supply (see hyperinflation in Zimbabwe) usually accompanied by a widespread unwillingness on the part of the local population to hold the hyperinflationary money for more than the time needed to trade it for something non-monetary to avoid further loss of real value.

Hyperinflation is often associated with:

1). wars (or their aftermath),

2). currency meltdowns,

3). political or social upheavals, or

4). aggressive bidding on currency exchanges.

i think wikipedia made a mistake by saying "or" on number three. it should be "and" because right now...we don't just have one or two of these, we have all four. this must be an old definition; even though wikipedia is constantly updated. can you imagine how out of touch with reality the other dictionary's are.

how much longer? we can't be too far away. better stock up.

Schumer Caught on Tape Urging Dems to Blame Tea Party for Possible Gov't...

senator charles schumer didn't realize his microphone was on and he was recorded scheming on how to spin the democrats reasons for not wanting to cut the budget. he wants to blame the tea party and going as far as telling fellow democrats to call the tea party 'extreme'. it appears that the democrats are playing games and scheming instead of going along with the $61 billion dollar cut proposed by republicans. when our country faces a $5 billion dollar a day deficit, the proposed cut would be eaten up in 12 days.

in my opinion, $61 billion is not nearly enough after president obama has tripled the defict in two years to nearly $4 trillion...yet the democrats seem to be intent on working against america. how much is $4 trillion? It would take a military jet flying at the speed of sound, reeling out a roll of dollar bills behind it, 56 years before it reeled out four trillion dollar bills. you would think that the democrats would take this budget matter a little more seriously.

In My Opinion: my thoughts on obama's excuses concerning our invo...: "what about the genocide in darfur and rwanda? as for evil murdering leaders, what about those that live in his home country of africa? there are some tribal leaders there i'm sure that are mistreating the 12 or so people in their village. when are we going in?

does obama really think that the american people don't know that we control and fund nato? with a price tag of $600 million per day this is a war that we can not afford.

who died and made obama king? the president does not have the authority to declare war without the approval of congress. now that he's made that illegal decision, he's treating it like a hot potato and trying to pass it off on someone else. nato is not someone else, we will still be calling the shots. just another lie of his.

why is taking out qaddafi more important than protecting our southern borders from illegal aliens that are unfairly bankrupting our nation while trafficking in both drugs and humans. going in and helping the citizens there would not be a humanitarian effort? i think it would, are you saying a libyan life is more valuable that a mexican one? mexican american voters aren't going to like that very much.

i know i'm asking a lot of questions here and i know this "your war", but i have to ask. i would hate to see us get involved with no clear mission or objective. by the way are you sure those rebels your protecting for $600 million a day aren't al qaeda? i mean that wouldn't make much sense would it? we're capturing or killing them in afghanistan and iraq and then supporting them from brutality in libya.

hey, but what the heck do i know...i thought from the beginning that we should keep gitmo open...but that's another story, live and learn mr. president, live and learn. "

the obama administration is playing an extreme game of "chicken".....

the obama administration is playing an extreme game of chicken with nearly 70% of american voters who oppose his policies. in my opinion, this is intentional. this president does not care about polls; he cares about pushing his agenda through by "any means necessary". i believe he has a three fold strategy to appease those who support and control him.

the first part of his strategy is to push the progressive agenda of socialism.

the second phase of this strategy is to appease his communist supporters who want chaos and civil unrest.

the third strategy is to combine a various assortment of fringe groups that he is appeasing such as labor unions who want both big government restraints in their favor and chaos.

what do these groups have in common?
they all share a desire for power and world dominance. if i had to put george soros, the clintons, pelosi and reid in a category, it would be in the progressive group. all of the other tag alongs like jesse jackson, the naacp, la raza etc are doing it to get their smaller agendas through and for tax payer money.

what should our conservative grass roots do?
the obama administration is playing an extreme game of torture on our psyche and in a twisted and warped way, they think the stuff they're doing is for our own good...let me give you an example. when you want to change someone you break them down mentally first. our american armed services does it best and have been doing it for years. when they get new recruits for basic training, they shave their heads, yell and scream at them and tear down their egos and sense of individuality. this is what the obama administration is doing to us, they're intentionally trying to break us down so they can remake us into what they want us to be.

their endeavors have been so successful, that they have not had time to stop us from communicating and organizing against them, but they are working fast to correct that. we're not trying to be remade or rebuilt...and our opposition has been strong and effective. they have not been able to break our will...yet. they are looking for us to submit to their will or fight...yes, they want civil unrest. they are counting on it, so they can discredit and destroy us. they have the power at the moment to do so.

so what do we do?
go on with living a normal life (i know that's tough, but just don't let them get in your head. that's what they want. stay the course and systematically vote them out. otherwise they win. they want chaos and civil war...they're planning on it. even if they lose they win. they tear down our civilization.

what happens to a recruit in basic training that causes problems? the full might of the established system comes down on them to discredit and destroy him. in such a situation, it is better to continue to play by the rules and not let their mind games get to you. soon obama and his cronies will be gone and we will have the privilege of seeing them punished by a god that they do not believe in...they will be gone...we just have to get through this.

it's only making us better. look at the progress we as americans have made in the last two years...look at the conservatives who now connect on a daily basis.

what's fox news up to? what did libya do to them?

why is fox news pushing so hard for conservatives to support an attack on libya. i'm sorry, explain to me how this helps our nation? oil? if it's about oil...they should stop pushing an attack on libya and start pushing the discussion of drilling oil here. do we really need to get involved once again in trying to influence affairs in the middle east? i mean really, how has that worked out for us so far?

sorry, fox news groupies, these days i'm questioning everyones' motives. i'm awake now. when i do finally sleep (with one eye open), i know that there are millions of other conservatives watching my back.

In My Opinion: liberals are stealing benefits from the truly insa...: "dear liberals: what happened? it was announced today that obama will not close camp gitmo. it was also annouced that we would not be leaving..."

liberals are stealing benefits from the truly insane that need them more.

dear liberals: what happened? it was announced today that obama will not close camp gitmo. it was also annouced that we would not be leaving afghanistan in 2014. these two things were promised to you guys when he was campaigning. seems he's sold you short again. what about free healthcare? how's that working out for you? can you now just walk in to see any doctor...i take that back, just any old dr. would not do for you. can you walk in to see the "best" doctor for free.

let me answer that; no you can't. you can't walk into any doctors office or clinic and get anything for free. what obamacare did do was increase the cost of insurance for everyone, it's caused more doctors to either stop accepting medicare patients or retire. it is taking money from taxpayers now for benefits sometimes in the future if ever. another broken promise. by now you should be used to them. so keep on voting democrat...keep on letting them lie to you. you deserve it.

keep letting them lord over you and rule your every waking moment in a perverted dance of we give you free stuff and you give us your vote. when are you going to realize that nothing in life is free? when are you going to stop giving them your vote in exchange for promises that they never keep. the definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result.

so guess how i view what you're doing? i see you as a poster child for insanity. no offense to the truly insane for your illness, but if you are "truly" insane you should feel slighted by these democrats who are only pretending to be, so they can continue to get free stuff.

ruining a nation 101. tonights guest speaker: non other than satan himself.

obama walks like a duck, quacks like a duck but half the country sees an articulate swan. sorry, i don't want any kool-aid and quackers. i want a leader that doesn't believe that america should be passed off as an ordinary nation. i don't want to become involved with idda only. if "idda only" knew that he was trying to destroy the country with his beliefs and world views that differ radically from ours.

if we had elected a person with emotional ties to another country...would they not see things differently than we do? that is exactly what we have here. i don't care where he was born, his heart is not into americanism. he does not have emotional ties to the usa, his heart is into "transforming" this country and in his vision, making it better...okay, no problem if he had told us the whole story and we agreed to it...then fine. however, he only tricked us by using rosy terms that sounded good. "change", "transform", "redistribute", "collective".

these are all words that sound positive. the problem is he didn't give details and his followers didn't ask for them. he gives new meaning to the phrase, "the devil's in the details".

when we started finding out about the details, we saw that he's driving us so far into the ground, we'll probably get a chance to see the devil's lecture on the details. an example of that. spending for just the month of february, 2011 - $223 billion. spending for all of 2007, $161 billion. another word the liberals like to use...unsustainable. they got that one dead on.

In My Opinion: muslims... don't take our kindness and openness as...: "i've known a few muslims in my lifetime. they've been cool with me and that's not always easy because i'm not always that easy to get along ..."

muslims... don't take our kindness and openness as a weakness..

i've known a few muslims in my lifetime. they've been cool with me and that's not always easy because i'm not always that easy to get along with because of my outspokenness. i don't agree with what the muslim radicals are doing and i do think that if they are strict followers of the koran, then they may not want me sharing the same planet with them...that's fine as long as they keep those feelings inside. i don't fear them and hope they're quicker on the draw if they should ever attempt to harm me or anyone near me.

so they can think what they want, do what they want as long as it doesn't affect me. i don't care. just keep your feelings and actions to yourself and we're fine. the minute you as much as disrespect me or try to harm me we've got problems. let me tell you, you're brethren who are out demonstrating are pushing you very close to the "we've got problems line". if i were you and you want to live a peaceful life in "my" country...i say my because god allowed me to be born here, so that in my opinion makes it "my"; you'd better start talking to them and telling them to back down. don't think for a minute that you can take our kindness and openness as a weakness. we may be childish and playful, but nowhere near weak. think about it.

In My Opinion: my bucket list.

In My Opinion: my bucket list.: "i never got a chance to see the movie 'the bucket list' or whatever its called. one of these days it will be on tv and i'll watch it there. ..."

my bucket list.

i never got a chance to see the movie "the bucket list" or whatever its called. one of these days it will be on tv and i'll watch it there. i saw the trailer so i pretty much get the premise. two guys think it's almost over for them so they want to go out and taste life before they meet their maker...yada, yada, yada. okay i get it.

so today although only 49, you never know these days...i got to asking myself, what can i do to scare the hell out of myself to start living again? hmm...i don't want to jump out an airplane. i don't even want to get on an airplane unless i absolutely have to. i've flown and it's not very comfortable for anyone over 6 ft tall.

i don't want to go on a safari...i'm not even to crazy about the prospect of going to a foreign land and giving money to people who don't really like me or the country that i'm from. isn't that called aiding and abetting the enemy?

i don't need another fast car...i did that in my twenties and almost killed myself and others more times than i care to remember.

the obama administration is doing more than enough things to really scare the hell out of me and give me something to work towards. so i really don't need anything additional to kickstart my adrenaline and get me fired up. what i really need is more guns, more ammo, more food stocked up and maybe a few more dogs to bite the heck out of anyone trying to get to the stuff i've stocked up if things keep going downhill from the policies of this administration. bucket list...yeah right.

disappointments can be hard to deal with when we're faced with them. we have certain expectations of ourselves and even more from others. when we fail to accomplish what we think we're capable of accomplishing, we become disappointed. when we hold others up to certain standards and they don't live up to them, they disappoint us. acceptance is an elusive target that keeps moving. so we tend to instead lock onto something more; more for ourselves and more for others to accomplish.

let's take president obama for example. i had no expectations of a good outcome concerning his presidency because i read between the lines and looked at the scenario realistically. here we have a middle aged man with no real experience being propped up by the media, adored by the masses because of his ability to speak well from a teleprompter, a man of two race, who looked like he had it all. a family, a law degree from harvard and a budding career as a young senator. comparisons were made to martin luther king, jr., john kennedy and an even more ridiculous comparison...jesus or the messiah. he was given a nobel peace prize not for anything he'd done, but because of others' expectations of what he would do.

however, what i saw was a shaky politician and opportunist, who was riding the wave of peoples' expectations of what they thought he was capable of doing and not basing their opinions of him on anything other than their expectations of what he would or could do. is this a way to select the leader of the free world? obama has exceeded my low expectations of him and proven to be worse than i could have ever imagined.

our culture has become a nation of dreamers. we dream of "hitting" the lottery, finding a case full of money that a drug dealer or bank robber lost on the side of the road. we dream of living a fabulous life where everyone loves us and we have no bills to pay, and we live in mansions and drive bentley's and porsches. we live day to day and entertain ourselves with fantasies that we see others living on tv or in the gossip columns. that's why it amazes me to see or hear of someone who is offered a promotion and they turn it down, offered a business deal or partnership and they pass on it and when asked why, they say it would be too much responsibility or i don't think i want to go in that direction. what? you want a better life, but you don't want to go in that direction because it's too much work and would cut into your entertainment, daydream time? give me a break. when faced with reality the expectations seem to have cold water thrown on them.

i spoke with a cpa friend last week. he stopped by my office. he loves to debate me. it seems that my office at times is like a barbershop where people come by to debate and argue with me more than anything else. well, the last time i saw him nearly a year ago, he was still calling himself an independent voter. he's a black guy in his 50's. he has had a very decent life along the way. he has a master's degree served as an officer in the military...been married to the same woman for many years. they have two grown kids now in the military and one still in high school. he served as a high level irs executive until his retirement and now has a cpa firm. he has lived up to his expectations for himself through hard work and dedication; however, his expectations of obama were high at one time...now they've gone through the floor and his pride just won't let him admit that i was right...but of course i don't let him off the hook that easily and rub it in the whole time we visit. he wouldn't believe me when i told him that he's a closet republican.

i told him if not then he's the only democrat that i know with 800 credit scores. he then told me i was the only republican that he knows that's no longer out on a limb...but now i'm living out on a leaf. i thought that was pretty funny. he's still a brainwashed liberal. he thinks all republicans are rich and i guess my expectations of liberals aren't all that high. there's probably an area of compromise to our differing believes but we didn't find them that day and i'm not sure we ever will, but he is at least being realistic about obama now. one down and half a country to go. i don't know... 2012 is coming pretty quickly i may need to revise my expectations of how many people i can get to see the light by them down a few million.

the direction that our country heads is at stake by the choices that "we the people" make.

earlier this afternoon i spoke on the phone with a fb friend and fellow blogger. we discussed many of the issues that we discuss on here. one thing we discussed was a mutual candidate that we supported. we were both new to being actively involved in politics and we both had a different take on the guy that was running. by the time we finished our discussion, we both agreed that it was fortunate that our efforts and campaign contributions were in vain, because he would have been less than the ideal conservative congressman. i had a nagging question answered that i had not asked while supporting the guy, my question was why was he not embracing the "tea party"? i got my answer...he didn't believe they were a relevant group. he also did not think allen west would win.

today, he is irrelevant in politics and allen west's name is being thrown around as a serious contender for president. it seems that others including myself may come down on the wrong side of history. looking back on those primary elections where this man could have been my congressman, it was fortunate that he is not and shows me that i'm now on the right track by being more informed. staying informed is a lot easier than it used to be...but it still takes some effort. in the end the direction that our country heads is at stake by the choices that "we the people" make.

i've been working on my blog.:)

i've tried to make it reflective of myself just like i do when i post on facebook. i love my country. what's being done to it bothers me... a lot. so i share with you my thoughts and views on the hypocrisy and madness that i see that is so clear to most of us. i love old school r&b. groups like the temptations, stylistics, marvin gaye and more. yet, on other days i may feel like hearing steely dan, hall & oats or genesis. so i've posted a roulette wheel of musical memories in youtube format...when you visit, you'll never know which artist will greet you and take you back down memory lane. facebook is like an exciting and busy club where everyone is there and all talking at once...fun fun fun, but my blog is a quiet retreat so some of my friends can get together and share our views of the world. see you soon.

passions are running high and our nations collective will is being tested.

what's in a name...a label or nickname? we name our kids, our pets and the world around us to make it simple for people to understand who and/or what we are talking about. names are concrete...labels and nicknames are not, they fall into the gray areas more often than not. labels like republican, democrat, black, white are descriptive of a group of people and their identities. the danger is that by bundling up people (sociology, the study of groups of people) can have its downfalls. for example, what comes to mind when the word or phrase nazi, communist rich person, poor person, etc are loosely thrown around?

people have died because they were labeled witches, communist or something other than what they truly were. others were what they had been labeled and took a chance or a stand for what they believed; even if it went against popular appeal or the laws at the time. the danger with having a diverse nation such as ours is that there are so many labels being tossed around these days where the intensity and passion of those in the debate are once again rising to dangerous levels such as those during wwii or any of the other dark and tumultuous times in human history.

passions are running high and our nations collective will is being tested...there is such a passionate divide in our country that the labels are being poured into molds of concrete and pretty soon the dye will be cast and we will have all backed each other into a concrete wall...can it be avoided? i wish i knew.

one can be easily swayed by those who tell them what they want to hear.

it seems that those who talk against capitalism come in two varieties. they are either living "the american dream" as self-made wealthy capitalist or in the group that are, well...jealous of capitalist because of their own shortcomings and lack of ambition. these anti-capitalist "wealthy" capitalist in the first group, by and large have made their money off of brainwashing and fueling the fires of anti-capitalism by writing books, making movies and giving lectures telling the lame how those evil capitalist are holding them down and ruining our country and the planet.

this is wrong-headed thinking. most "capitalist" run businesses that have employees that depend on them to provide for their families. in addition these business owners and ceo's have to worry about taking care of their own families while being raked through the coals in the media. these business owners' are usually too tired and stressed after working all day to then have to worry themselves with holding someone down. instead they are lifting people up by providing jobs and giving back to their communities in the form of grants, scholarships and huge amounts of tax revenues for politicians to waste.

it is instead, those who make millions writing books, making movies and giving lectures that have the time on their hands to plot and plan on how to keep themselves and their families wealthy by feeding on the insecurities of their not so smart followers. being lazy and unambitious has its hazards...one can be easily swayed by those who tell them what they want to hear.

belief systems can keep us safe or keep us from the truth.

Some people say that you should never discuss religion or politics. Why is that? It is not so much because of the personal nature of the topics inso much is that it is because they are a part of the belief system that each of us develops over time.

A belief system is one that is not based on facts but is an identity that is comfortable and may have come from our parents, other family members, friends or community. It is a belief that when questioned makes the person feel uncomfortable because that person may not even know why he or she believes something.

That's just the way it is for them. The world is flat, that's just the way it is many people thought, until over time it was proven that the world is indeed round. Belief systems in religion or politics often come from the views of our parents. If you ask someone why they are of a certain religion or political belief and then you refute each point that they make about why what they believe is wrong; they become angry because you are not refuting facts you are refuting their identity.

Your facts and arguments may be valid; however what the person hears is you calling him stupid for believing something that defines him as a person and that may not be based in facts; but merely upbringing. In cases where religion and politics cross over into one another, the person then feels that he is also morally right in his belief and facts become even less important.

When presented with facts, their belief system will not allow them to logically process those facts at first. It is not until that person is faced with some great personal dilema where his belief system is irrefutably seen for its untruths does that person move towards the truth. In order to get to this point the person must be willing or either forced to question his own belief systems in a very personal and introspective way.

In the course of our daily lives very few people are willing to swim upstream and constantly challenge their own belief systems. When challenged by anyone other than themselves, they will dig in and defend beliefs that may have no or very little basis in the truth.

For more information on Belief Systems and how to argue affectively with someone who is not seeing the truth for what it is, Google Belief Systems and explore.

i have been pretty patient when discussing issues with liberals...until now.

tonight i've had two people who pop into my fb posts and pretend to want answers. other conservatives and i would patiently answer their questions. hoping that they would understand the facts of the situation. each time they would come back with nonsense. i've lost my patience and prefer to be talking constructively to people who understand things for what they really are than waste time being distracted with silly question after question. i'm done with that. i'm deleting them and not let them frustrate me with their lack of understanding of how life works. liberals, i only have two children...i'm not your daddy. let someone else argue with you because you think you know better.

$105 billion hidden in obamacare bill for funding.

the way it's supposed to work is that congress controls the purse strings. in their rush to leave dodge city (washington dc) last year; the democrat led house and senate ran away from their duties to read the bill. wouldn't have mattered if the republicans had been given time to read it, they were outnumbered in both houses. now lo and behold they discover that the bill has been funded and some of the money already appropriated. the rest will be spent at the discretion of katherine sabelious, obama's hand picked health secretary.

the newly elected conservatives just found this out. they were pushing to cut 100 billion from the budget...now it looks like they're going to cut $205 billion to unfund obamacare and get the budget back in line. someone needs to go to prison...soon.

i never though i'd be qouting malcolm x, but he's right about liberals.

"The white liberal differs from the white conservative only in one way: the liberal is more deceitful than the conservative. The liberal is more hypocritical than the conservative. Both want power, but the white liberal is the one who has perfected the art of posing as the Negro's friend and benefactor; and by winning the friendship, allegiance, and support of the Negro, the white liberal is able to use the Negro as a pawn or tool in this political "football game" that is constantly raging between the white liberals and white conservatives."

who knows when i'm going to get kicked off facebook again. so please bare with me as i set up my blog. i won't say come and follow me because that term just sounds weird to me. if i ask you to follow me it sounds arrogant and if you said you'll follow me that'll just freak me out. so lets just say, come and check out my new blog. i'm going to be posting from here and linking to facebook while i still have an account there. one of the features of my blog is my video bar featuring some of the best old school songs ever made. now, you won't have to wait for me to get into one of those music playing moods; you can visit and take a walk back down memory lane without me ...like i do after a few drinks.:) if you have any suggestions, i'll probably just say yeah, okay and then do whatever i want...but you're free to try.

Who am I?

i'm not african-american. my forefathers may originate from africa, however i think this status should be for new arrivals from africa that have become citizens. if you need to call me anything other than darryl or if i've pissed you off and you want to call me a four letter word...fine, but if you must label me anything other than american...i'm a black american.
